About Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee

Professional Accountants in Business represent more than 76% of ICAP’s membership, serving in influential roles across industries as business leaders, finance professionals, strategic partners, and advisors. They play a vital part in creating, enabling, reporting, and preserving value within their organizations and the broader economy.

The PAIB Committee is dedicated to engaging this large and diverse membership segment through professional development, industry-focused initiatives, and platforms that highlight their impact on business and society.

The Committee is currently chaired by Muhammad Zaid Kaliya, FCA, Chief Financial Officer at TATA Pakistan and Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).

ICAP’s legacy of international engagement is further reinforced by the distinguished contributions of Yacoob Suttar, Founding Chairman of the PAIB Committee, Former President of ICAP, and Council Member. He served for six years as Member and Deputy Chair of the PAIB Committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and was later appointed to the IFAC Board in recognition of his outstanding services.

Continuing this legacy, Samiullah Siddiqui, FCA, President of ICAP and former Chairperson of the PAIB Committee, has remained an active member of the IFAC PAIB Advisory Group for the past three years. His continued engagement further strengthens the Institute’s longstanding partnership with IFAC and reinforces ICAP’s global standing.

Mr. Muhammad Zaid Kaliya, FCA

The committee is currently chaired by Mr. Muhammad Zaid Kaliya – FCA, Chief Financial Officer of TATA Pakistan and Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).

He brings strong strategic leadership and a deep commitment to enhancing member value, strengthening institutional governance, and advancing the chartered accountancy profession in line with evolving global standards.
